Banking with CAMT.
Match it – and the entry is done.

Banking is the module in Saldora that connects your bank accounts with your accounting. You import the bank statement from your e-banking (camt.053, camt.054 or CSV), and Saldora suggests the matching invoice, receipt or account for every transaction. Linking creates the entry. You hand supplier invoices to your e-banking as a payment order (pain.001).

How does a bank statement become an entry?

Four stations: import, accept suggestions, assign the rest – and pay suppliers.

  1. 1

    Import the bank statement

Upload the bank statement as camt.053, camt.054 or CSV, up to 10 MB. The preview shows the period, the number of transactions and the totals of incoming and outgoing payments before anything is applied. If the file does not belong to the selected account, Saldora warns you; payments already imported are never created twice.

  2. 2

    Accept suggestions

For many transactions Saldora shows a suggestion with a percentage and a reason: QR reference, payment reference, “Similar name & amount”, “As last posted” or AI. You accept them individually with “Link” or many at once above a threshold, for instance only the very confident ones from 95 %.

  3. 3

    Assign the rest by hand

You link a transaction to an invoice, a receipt or directly to an account, for instance for bank charges, and split it across several items if needed. The assignment has to add up to the centime; you record cash discounts, fees or exchange differences as a separate type.

  4. 4

    Pay suppliers

You combine open, posted supplier receipts into a payment order and export it as a pain.001 file per ISO 20022 for your e-banking. The payment flow follows the Swiss Payment Standards and has been validated on the official SIX validation platform.

What do you get with Banking?

Four things that make reconciliation safe.

  • No double import

If you have already imported a payment from an earlier file, for instance first as camt.054 and then in camt.053, Saldora does not create a second transaction. Duplicates appear in the “Ignored” tab and can be restored.

  • Learns from your entries

“As last posted” means Saldora has learned the account assignment from earlier entries of the same counterparty. If AI is set up, it also creates account suggestions for transactions without a suggestion.

  • Check-back before sensitive entries

If there is an open receipt for a payment, or an outgoing payment goes to a revenue account, Saldora asks before posting. You reverse an incorrect assignment; the offsetting entry stays visible in the journal.

  • Accounts in four currencies

Bank accounts in CHF, EUR, USD or GBP are possible; the accounting runs in the base currency. If the account amount is missing for a foreign-currency transaction, you add it with “Record conversion”.

No. You accept a suggestion with “Link” or many at once with “Apply suggestions”. You choose the threshold yourself: only very confident ones (from 95 %), including unique matches and learned account assignments (from 80 %) or including AI suggestions (from 65 %). Saldora asks for confirmation first.

If the statement does not provide the breakdown, the transaction is flagged “Needs follow-up”. You assign it with “Assign manually” and split it across several invoices or receipts.

Yes. In the “Linked” tab, click “Reverse link”. The entry is cancelled by an offsetting entry, both remain visible in the journal, and the transaction is back under “Open”.

Under “Payment orders” in the receipt inbox you select open, posted receipts, the bank account and the execution date and export a pain.001 file for your e-banking. The supplier’s payment IBAN is required.
