Quotes & invoices
In the quote and invoice editor you insert items as line items via “Item…” or ⇧ X. Price, VAT code and revenue account are then on the document right away.
Learn moreItem management is the module in Saldora that keeps your services and goods with price, unit and VAT code in one place. You create each item once and add it to quotes and invoices with two clicks – including description and revenue account. Later price changes only affect new line items; existing documents remain unchanged.
Service, goods or digital · VAT code and revenue account per item · Import and export · Data in Switzerland
Four stations: create the item, set price and VAT, add it to the document – and keep the list up to date.
Under “Items” you click “New item” and enter the name; Saldora assigns the SKU when you save. You choose the type “Service”, “Goods” or “Digital” and the unit, for instance hour, pc. or day. The description appears as the standard text on quotes and invoices.
Under “Price & VAT” you enter the net price in CHF and choose the VAT code and revenue account. The gross preview calculates net price, VAT and gross amount for you. If you account using the net tax rate method, the VAT code is for information only.
In the editor of a quote or invoice, you choose “Item…” next to “New line item” or press ⇧ X. In the “Items from catalogue” dialog you search by name, SKU or description. Saldora adds name, description, unit, price, VAT code and revenue account to a new line item.
You filter the item list by type, VAT code and status. “Duplicate” copies an item under a new SKU; with the status “Inactive” you take it out of circulation without deleting it. You import and export entire item lists directly in the list.
Four things that keep your documents consistent.
When adding an item, Saldora copies the values into the line item. If you later change an item’s price, this only affects newly inserted line items – existing invoices remain unchanged.
You override quantity, price and all other values in the line item without changing the item itself. After adding, the quantity is set to 1.
With the “Inventory” module you switch on stock keeping for items of the type “Goods”, with default warehouse and minimum stock. Per supplier you store item number, purchase price and surcharge.
The list hides deleted items. With the status “Deleted” it shows them again, and “Restore” brings an item back.
The item master for your services and goods. You create each item once with price, unit, VAT code and revenue account and add it to quotes and invoices instead of typing it anew every time.
Only the name is required; Saldora assigns the SKU when you save. Then there are description, type (“Service”, “Goods” or “Digital”), unit, net price in CHF, VAT code, revenue account, status and tags.
